Bravo’s Top Chef Contestants Find Out What They “Cannot Do” in This Quickfire Challenge
There's a big twist in store for Top Chef Season 19's contestants as they face off in the competition.
It looks like there are more surprises in store for the new batch of cheftestants vying for the top title in Houston on Bravo's Top Chef following the supersized Season 19 premiere. And, as host Padma Lakshmi reveals in the above first look exclusive to Bravo Insider, there will be a twist thrown in that the 15 contestants didn't see coming in, perhaps, one of the "cheesiest" challenges ever.
You can get a taste of the upcoming March 10 episode of Top Chef right now in the Bravo Insider video, above, where Padma drops a major hint about the next Quickfire Challenge, saying, "Things are about to get cheesy in here."
She also introduces renowned Houston chef and James Beard award winner, Irma Galvan, as guest judge before revealing the objective of the next 30-minute Quickfire Challenge. As Padma tells the cheftestants, "We want a warm bowl of this Tex-Mex classic: Queso."
And, of course, one of the main ingredients to every Quickfire Challenge is a surprising twist thrown in the mix. Padma reveals in the preview clip, above, that the big twist is actually something the chefs "cannot do" in the competition, as she encourages them to think outside the box: "This is a chance to really use your creativity."
