Tommy Feight Pays Tribute to His Late Father-in-Law: "He Was a Father Figure to so Many"
The Shahs of Sunset husband remembered MJ's father on the two-year anniversary of his death.
Tommy Feight is paying tribute to his late father-in-law on the second anniversary of his death. The Shahs of Sunset husband posted an emotional Instagram in memory of wife Mercedes “MJ” Javid’s father, Shams Javid, who passed away amid ongoing health struggles in 2018.
In the touching memorial, Tommy shared a photo of Shams smiling as he rested against a slew of pillows with a dog on his lap. “As a dad and as someone who grew up with an absentee father I can not begin to tell you how much respect and admiration I have for this man,” he wrote in part. “He was a father figure to so many and he gave with both hands to anyone that needed it.”
Tommy went on to describe the lasting impact that Shams had on him, despite only knowing him for a short time, stating, “He is one of the kindest sweetest and most legendary men I will ever have the pleasure of knowing, even though it wasn’t for long.”
He concluded the moving message by sharing his wish that son Shams Francis Javid will continue to take after his namesake. “I hope my son walks around and wears his name like a badge of honor because it’s befitting for a king,” he wrote.
