We spied an unexpected housemate in the trailer for Season 9 of Summer House, which dropped on Wednesday, Dec.18. In a first look at the new season of the Bravo show, we in fact, caught a cameo from someone who knows a thing or two about navigating a complicated friendship dynamic. When Season 9 of Summer House airs, in addition to the returning and new cast (more on that below), Vanderpump Rules' Tom Schwartz will also be popping up.

The West Coast resident will be hanging out with his East Coast pals in the Hamptons and offering up some advice on how to handle some friend drama when the new season premieres in the new year. What kind of sage wisdom does Tom have to share? "You guys have to cherish this. You're a happy family," he reveals in the trailer. "I know it's sometimes dysfunctional, but this is a beautiful thing you have."

Will the Summer House friends heed his advice? Only time will tell. We do know that Tom did have a blast this past summer as he shared in an Instagram post back in the fall. He wrote and reflected at the time, revealing, "What are we rating Summer of ‘24? 1-10? I’m giving it an 8.5." (That's a solid rating, indeed.)
