Is Kandi Burruss Involved with TLC's New Album?
The #RHOA singer-songwriter reveals if she's working with the legendary girl group on their next project.
Back in 1999, Kandi Burruss made history with TLC when she co-penned one of the girl group's most legendary tunes, "No Scrubs." The chart-topping song would go on to win a Grammy — and become an anthem for women everywhere. But this fall, TLC made headlines again for their music — this time for a different kind of reason. After launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund a new album, the duo angered fans when the album never materialized. And if you're hoping that Kandi might have some more insight into the album and if it will ever surface, well, she doesn't know much about it either.
"I talked to T-Boz briefly when they first announced that they were doing an album and she was like, 'Well let me know if you got any songs for us or whatever.' I havent really spoke to her since," The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom told The Daily Dish. Still, if they should call her up to work on music, she'll be there. "I love TLC, so I definitely would want to work with them, anything that they are doing. If they want me to be apart of it, I would gladly do whatever they need me to do. I mean I was helping them sing backgrounds for when they re-did all the music for the [2013] TLC movie [on VH1]; I was coming over to help with that. So it's like anything they need me to do, I'm like OK." -Reporting by Andrew Herrmann
