Proud parents Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn C. Dennis recently took some time out of their busy schedules as mom and dad to paint the town red in Washington D.C. The stop in D.C. makes sense: not only are they raising their daughter, Kensington Calhoun, Thomas is also gearing up his political campaign. He is running for the South Carolina state senate.

How to Watch

Watch Southern Charm on Bravo Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

The Southern Charm stars were in Washington D.C. earlier this week where they not only met up with friends, but also celebrated their birthdays.

In addition to sharing snapshots from their time in the country's capital, they also tweeted out a few new photos of baby Kensington, who was born in March. The couple surprised everyone when they announced Kensington's birth earlier this year.

Of course in between hangout sessions with his baby girl, Thomas recently locked down the signatures he needed to appear on the ballot this November. He is running as an independent against Republican Lindsey Graham and Democrat Brad Hutto.

Earlier this year, he opened up about balancing his family life and political aspirations. "A friend of mine told me, 'I can't vote for you because you don't have kids. You won't know about responsibility until you have kids,'" Thomas shared. "And now I know exactly what he was talking about."
