The Daily Dish The Singles Project

Are #TheSinglesProject's Lee and Ericka Still Together?

The big city dentist breaks down what happened with his castmate turned girlfriend.

They were your Bravo summer fling last year, and this year Emmy voters fell in love with The Singles Project, too. But, what are the brave New York singles up to these days? The Daily Dish is checking back to find out.

When Dr. Lee Gause first stepped onto the screen during The Singles Project, viewers probably had no idea that he'd connect most with one of his fellow singles. But over the course of the show, it was Ericka Pittman who won Lee's heart. The VP stole Lee's attention away from any other potential love interests. So what happened? "Ericka and I dated for a while, but have both moved on," he revealed to The Daily Dish. "We remain great friends. She also got a huge promotion and moved to LA."

Is Ericka Thinking Too Much?

"Ericka and I very much to keep privacy and build and explore each other," he continued. "It's New York, we are both hyperbusy types — also, both controlling types. Both of us are booming professionally so we just let things settle in the friend zone."

But he didn't just make a friend in Ericka. Lee revealed he's good friends with fellow single Kerry Cassidy's beau, Tripp, sharing that they recently did an art show together. "Also, the production team was a real piece of the cast since the show was high pressure, filmed in real time," he said. "I am still cool with many of them."

Of course, it was the fans who planted the seeds of romance for Lee and Ericka, and he believes it was "generally" helpful to hear what they had to say. "I was heavily critiqued by Twitter for everything from my table manners to style of dress," he said. "Some of the Twitter world was typical cyber babble which I tuned out, including, 'Your bow ties look like Pee Wee Herman,' but some of the advice was actually really useful. For example, 'I know you are constantly on call for your patients, but if you want a good dating life you at least have to disconnect from your cell phone during dinner.'"

Speaking of Lee's appearance — well, he was most surprised the folks of NYC didn't have more fun at his and his fellow singles' expenses. "[I was most surprised] that not too many people vandalized those funny promo posters," he joked. "We were asking for it with those 'I'm too cool for school' expressions on our faces."
