The Rock's Cousin Nia Jax Spills All About the Former Sexiest Man Alive

At this stage in his career, Dwayne Johnson is a household name. The man formerly known as The Rock has taken the devotion fans felt for him during his professional wrestling days and used it to launch himself into Hollywood A-list territory. But, he's not the only person in his family who has graced the ring. His cousin is WWE and Total Divas star, Nia Jax.
Actually, Dwyane and Nia (real name Savelina Fanene) come from a wrestling family with a deep lineage in the sport. Are you ready for how it all shakes out? Well, here it goes. The Rock's dad had a career as a pro wrestler under the moniker Rocky Johnson. But that's not all: his grandfather on his mom's side was also a wrestler: "High Chief" Peter Maivia. And, his mother's grandmother was Lia Maivia, who was one of the wrestling world's few woman promoters. She later took over the Polynesian Pacific Pro Wrestling in the 1980s.
So you could say that wrestling definitely runs in their family. And while both Dwayne and Nia are keeping busy with their respective careers, she recently revealed to The Daily Dish they are actually quite close, as you can see her explain in the video above.
Nia joined the E! series this season as a full-time member of the crew, in addition to her duties in the WWE — which means you should expect to see even more from her in the future. When the latest season of Total Divas kicked off last month, she shared this about joining the series: "Growing up I was a fan of wrestling. I never really thought that I could be a part of this business just because I am a plus-size woman. Thankfully they liked me so now I'm here at the WWE kicking some ass and taking some names."
