Luann de Lesseps and Tinsley Mortimer Had Very Different Experiences in Jail
These Real Housewives of New York City were at the same jail in Palm Beach following their respective arrests.
The Real Housewives of New York City were all back together again during Wednesday night's episode as they headed to Connecticut for a weekend of rest and relaxation following Luann de Lesseps' arrest and time spent in rehab. Since this was the first time many of the ladies had seen Luann since her arrest, she recounted the whole incident to the group.
Apparently, Luann wasn't the only Housewife impacted by her arrest. "One of the consequences of Luann's arrest is now my Google search and my mugshot keeps popping up at the top. That thing had gone way down with cute, little pictures of me in party dresses. And now the mugshot's back up again," Tinsley Mortimer said during the episode. "Thanks, Luann!"
But Tinsley later said during the June 20 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she actually wasn't trying to make light of or mock Luann's situation. "That is absolutely not true. The fact that she got a mugshot in Palm Beach, you can't write this stuff. It's amazing," Tinsley said during the WWHL After Show (clip above). "It's now a rite of passage."
Of course, Tinsley is referring here to her own 2016 arrest for trespassing in Palm Beach, Florida and subsequent mugshot. Though Luann and Tinsley were both arrested in the same town, they apparently had very different experiences in jail. "I went to the same jail that Luann went to. I was only there for three hours, though. But I actually had a jumpsuit and no bologna sandwich, by the way. They didn't even feed me."
From the way Luann described her bologna sandwich during Wednesday night's episode of RHONY, it doesn't sound like Tinsley missed much. "I took a big bite out of that and inside was the mustard packet. You know, I pull out almost like a dead fish hanging out of my mouth," Luann described. "It was so awful. I thought, it was just so pathetic and so sad. It was so sad."
Google searches aside, Tinsley previously told The Daily Dish that she now has a unique bond with Luann. "We’re soul sisters now," she said. "We’ll be forever connected in that way."
Well, at least something good came out of this not-so-pleasant situation.
The Connecticut drama continues for the RHONY bunch Wednesday at 9/8c. Check out a sneak peek, below.
