The incident occurred at Brandi's home in Los Angeles on Monday, October 22. “I’m fine but just shaken up. This happened mid-day when the boys and I were home,” she shared with Us Weekly on Tuesday, October 23. “We have an alarm, but it wasn’t set because we were there and I felt safe in my home because we have a security system and gates.”

Brandi did not disclose what, if anything, was taken from her home, but she added during her interview with Us Weekly that the “scariest thing is thinking what could’ve happened if either myself or one of my boys walked in on them in the process of robbing us.” She also referred to the situation as "my nightmare" on Twitter.

The podcast host cautioned her Twitter followers to "be very careful" and "set your alarms even when you’re at home." Brandi also shared on Twitter that she's taking new security measures in her house, such as installing new locks and privacy tint for her windows.

Brandi later took to Twitter on Wednesday, October 24 to show her gratitude for all of the messages of love and support she's received since opening up about this frightening ordeal. "Thank you everyone for your kind words, prayers and best wishes," she tweeted. "We are fine thank goodness!!! But I really appreciate you all for caring."

Kyle Richards' Encino home was also broken into in late December 2017, with a reported $1 million in personal items taken from her then-new abode. Though she considered moving out of the house after the incident, she explains why she ultimately decided to stay put in the below video.
