Andy Cohen Opens Up About His Conversations with NeNe Leakes Following Gregg Leakes' Cancer Diagnosis
"We’re all just praying for Gregg," the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host shared.
Despite the tendency for drama to arise among The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes can always count on her friends for support in her time of need. Following the news that NeNe's husband, Gregg Leakes, had been diagnosed with cancer, several of her famous friends have lent their support, including Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, and Eva Marcille.
Andy Cohen also sent his love to NeNe and Gregg early on, giving the RHOA husband "a library" of books to read on his road to recovery. The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host has also been in touch with NeNe since hearing the news about Gregg. "She and I have traded messages," Andy said during a recent interview with Good Morning America. "And I sent him a bunch of books. I know she’s with him now and you know, we’re all just praying for Gregg. We really love Gregg."
NeNe first shared the news of Gregg's diagnosis earlier this month in a post on Instagram that showed her husband at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. "Our New Normal and the fight begins," she wrote in the post.
She later confirmed on Instagram that the cancer had been removed and the couple was deciding whether or not Gregg should undergo chemotherapy. "We have been so overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, support, thoughtfulness & prayers," NeNe shared in a lengthy note on Instagram. "So far, Gregg is doing great! He feels good with the exception of not being able to eat a lot."
In addition to receiving love and gifts from the likes of Melissa Gorga and Marlo Hampton, NeNe and Gregg also got a visit from Cynthia and Eva this Father's Day to see how the couple is doing during this difficult time.
