Thanks to Fredrik Eklund, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Will Call the Big Apple Home Again
The couple purchased a pad in their old building for $9 million.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are movin' on up with the purchase of a deluxe apartment in a New York City building that they used to live in a few years ago, a three bedroom penthouse that was listed by a group of high-powered real estate agents from Douglas Elliman including Fredrik Eklund. No word on whether the Million Dollar Listing New York poppa was on hand to show them around the joint, but the couple plunked down $9.02 million, which is above the $8.995 million asking price, to make it their new East Coast abode (in addition to their Beverly Hills manse) for their expanding family.
According to The Real Deal, the penthouse apartment was purchased from an internet executive and is on the top floor of their former building in the Nolita neighborhood where they sold a one bedroom apartment for $3.9 million in 2016. New York Post reported that the building, called Brewster Carriage House, contains nine units and dates back to the mid-19th century. Features include a terrace for cooking and entertaining, smart home technology, 13-foot ceilings and a 133-inch projection screen for movie nights.
John isn't the only recording artist Fredrik has worked with lately. He also took on the challenge of trying to rep 50 Cent's monstrously huge and notoriously hard to sell Connecticut estate, a drama that will unfold when Million Dollar Listing New York returns on Tuesday, June 12 at 10/9c.
