While doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif are work husbands for the ages (you've seen Botched, right?), it's safe to say they know a host of other good doctors around Beverly Hills — and that's exactly what makes Terry's latest health decision so complicated.

During Season 18, Episode 12 of The Real Housewives of Orange County — which aired Sept. 26 — Terry revealed his plan to go under the knife for a nose job to fix his deviated septum ... and not use Paul as his surgeon.

The confession came as Terry was getting some medical tests done with wife Heather Dubrow. He, more specifically, needed an EKG for his pre-op. As Heather explained in a confessional interview, "A couple of months ago, Terry was snoring so badly it was driving me insane."

Then, in a flashback, she was shown telling her husband that there's only so many times she can hit him to make him roll over and stop snoring when she needs to sleep at night.

Why did Terry Dubrow have nose surgery?

As Terry explained on RHOC, "Well, I can't sleep. My breathing's not so great. Maybe I should have Jay fix my septum and lift my tip?"

While Heather said the doctor was "very talented," Terry knew there was one big issue.

"Here's the problem. If I let Jay do this, Paul will be so pissed," he said. "But you know what? It's my nose, Paul."

Terry Dubrow's health issues

Even before his pending nose job, Terry's health issues were a subject of discussion on RHOC Season 18. In August 2023, Terry experienced a “transient ischemic attack” (TIA) which caused stroke-like symptoms. Luckily, Heather made him go to the hospital, where they realized he had a hole in his heart, or patent foramen ovale (PFO). Much to his family's delight, they were able to fix it.

"I'm gonna try to say this without crying, but the only reason I'm standing here today and not six feet under is because of my best friend and beloved wife's insistence that I go to the emergency room and get checked out," Terry said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen as his eyes welled up. "She saved my life. That's just the way it goes. So, what can I say? I love my wife and she saved my life."
