Teresa Giudice's Fave NYC Eating Spots
Which places are (almost) as good as her own kitchen?
Teresa Giudice is taking a bite out of the Big Apple. Literally. "Stopped in for lunch at Ballato's on Houston Street — this was my favorite place to go with Joe before we had the girls and while I was still working in Manhattan," The Real Housewives of New Jersey foodie writes in New York Magazine's "Grub Street" column. "Being in Ballato's is like getting warped back to Italy. Had the halibut over spinach and cannellini beans. For dessert, we shared a cannoli. Honestly, I have no idea how some people deprive themselves."
Although she's not one to pass up a pastry, Teresa admits, "Thank God I've never had to diet, but still, I'm being extra good! We all overate because stress on Celebrity Apprentice, and I'm hitting a milestone birthday, not that I want to advertise it; things catch up to you."
Mamma mia! Next up on her food tour was dining with Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana. "I've been dying to go to Eataly with the girls. From what I kept hearing, it sounded like heaven! So we drove into the city and, oh my God, it was incredible! Nibbled on some meats and cheeses and just soaked it in."
And once the kiddies fell into their food comas, Teresa and Joe snuck out for a table for two. "Saturday nights are date night! Joe and I always try to schedule in time for just us," she says. "We went to dinner at Asellina in the Gansevoort Park and I had the roasted branzino. I was there during Celebrity Apprentice — they fed us really well during the show."
