RHUGT’s Teresa Giudice and Eva Marcille Break Down Caroline Manzo Joining Season 4
Eva also shares her hot takes on the other RHUGT Season 4 newbies.
On January 9, the cast for the upcoming fourth season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip was announced, and, like Season 2, it will be Ex-Wives Club–themed.
The lineup features several Season 2 returners, including The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvalson, The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Eva Marcille and Phaedra Parks, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Brandi Glanville, plus four newbies, The Real Housewives of New York City’s Alex McCord, RHOBH’s Camille Grammer Meyer, RHOC’s Gretchen Rossi, and The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Caroline Manzo.
The latter RHUGT addition hasn’t appeared on RHONJ since Season 5 wrapped in 2013, and the last time she was on the Garden State franchise, she was embroiled in a feud with fellow OG cast member Teresa Giudice over family matters. In the decade since Caroline left the show, nothing has changed between the two — and they weren’t able to squash their beef during BravoCon 2022.
It shouldn’t be a surprise, then, that Teresa has some mixed feelings about Caroline’s participation in the upcoming fourth season of RHUGT, which is set to film in Marrakech, Morocco.
“I don’t see her fitting in, but let’s see how it goes,” Teresa, who appeared on RHUGT Season 1, said about her former pal on the January 18 episode of her podcast, Namaste B$tches.
“The only one I could kind of see her getting along with, I guess, is Vicki [Gunvalson]… Everyone else, I don’t think they would vibe,” she continued, before sharing that she would watch Caroline on the show “if I have time.”
Teresa may have concerns about how Caroline will mesh with the rest of the group, but one of the Season 4 cast members has already felt some “great energy” from the RHONJ alum.
Eva Marcille chatted with E! News about how she’s excited to reunite with fellow returning cast members Phaedra, Vicki, and Brandi in Morocco, and shared that she isn’t currently close friends with any of the newbies.
“I don’t know them!” the mom of three said, though she did get a good impression from Caroline when she met her briefly at BravoCon.
“Obviously, we all know Caroline Manzo, she’s one of the OGs, but I don’t know her personally. I met her at BravoCon, very nice lady,” Eva explained. “I get great energy from her.”
She added that she’s “heard of Camille,” and that, after googling Alex, Eva was “happy” to find out that the two had acting experience in common. Eva also said she did watch Gretchen when she was on RHOC, and she knows the Californian is already “good friends” with Eva’s bestie, Phaedra.
“That’s her girl. She’s like a godmother to one of her kids,” she continued. “They are really, really, really close, and because of that, I feel comfortable knowing Gretchen is one of the girls.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 premieres Tuesday, February 7, at 9 p.m. ET/PT with a 75-minute supersize episode. Each week, the episode will stream the next day on Peacock.
