Teddi Mellencamp Hits Back at Dorit Kemsley's Claim They're "Not Close Friends"
RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp had a cheeky response to Dorit Kemsley's declaration about their friendship.
Teddi Mellencamp is sounding off after Dorit Kemsley said that the two are "not close friends."
Dorit made her comment during a group dinner in Oceanside on Season 14, Episode 4 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which aired on December 10.
"I'm not close with her," she said about Teddi during an argument with Kyle Richards. "Her and I are friends; we're not close."
Later on in the dinner, after Garcelle Beauvais wondered why Dorit had recently re-posted one of Teddi's Instagram Stories, Dorit doubled down on her status with the mom of three.
"I didn't say I wasn't friends with her, I said I'm not that close to her," she told Garcelle and the other ladies.
Fast-forward to the day after the episode aired, and Teddi fired back at Dorit's comment on her Instagram Stories. "Celebrating my birthday with my 'not close friends' in Mexico," Teddi wrote alongside a video of her on the trip with Dorit, Kyle, and a few other pals.

On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Dorit said that she considered herself to be friends with Teddi, but she never thought that they were close.
"I wouldn’t categorize Teddi and I as good friends," she said. "I didn’t say that we weren’t friends. In fact, I didn’t even know up until that point that Teddi was mad at me — until Kyle told me that she was sour about me not defending her at BravoCon. I had no idea, so, that was a shock to me."
As for why she re-posted Teddi's Instagram Story promoting her dad John Cougar Mellencamp's, concert, Dorit said she was being nice.
"She tagged me. Just like I would ordinarily, I reposted it," Dorit said on Season 14, Episode 4. "She's absolutely my friend. I don't think she would characterize our friendship as super close. But I saw it. It was to promote her father and I'm happy to promote her father's concert so I reposted it."
What's more, when she re-shared the Story, she did not think that there was anything going on between them in their friendship.
"When she posted and tagged me, it felt like there was no bad blood between us," Dorit continued. "And it felt like, OK, she’s promoting her father’s upcoming tour. And, you know, I have zero issue with reposting it."
