Lady Gaga Literally Dropped the Mic at the Super Bowl and the World Lost Its Chill
Who cares which team technically won the game? Mother Monster was the night's real winner.
Oh my Gaga! If you thought that Lady Gaga's Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday night would be anything less than epic, then you simply don't know Mother Monster at all. The singer turned up the dial to a whopping 11 during her mid-game performance, showing the world she's still as badass as ever. With a killer set including jams like "Born This Way," "Bad Romance," and "Telephone," eye-popping fashions (so. Many. Sparkles.), and a performance that began with her suspended above the stage on high wires, there was only one way to cap off something as wildly unforgettable as all of that.
Gaga is not a woman who simply takes a bow and walks off stage. (That would be basic.) No, she's a lady who wraps things up by literally dropping her mic, catching a football, and then disappearing from the stage altogether (we assume it was via a hidden door, but we also haven't ruled out magic).
It was that incredible finale that really left her fans floored. In fact, their reactions were priceless. Take for instance Andy Cohen, who used some colorful language following that performance, writing, "F*** YEAH @ladygaga!!!" followed by four American flag emojis.
Demi Lovato shared a similar sentiment, writing, "Mad props to @ladygaga... f***ing killed it tonight. Oh and that football game was cool too."
Check out the other reactions, below.
Oh, and BTW, here you go Katy.
