Where Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke Stand After a “Raw” Summer House Season 7
After the Season 7 trailer indicated that Carl and Kyle’s working relationship had become strained, the Loverboy founder shared an update.
Many people would agree that it’s never really a good idea to work with your friends, and Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke could be the latest besties to prove that point.
As the Summer House Season 7 trailer indicates, Carl and Kyle aren’t exactly on the same page when it comes to their work at Loverboy (a company Kyle founded), which may put a serious strain on their friendship.
In the teaser, Kyle says the VP of sales has been “checked out” lately. “Ever since he’s been dating Lindsay [Hubbard], he’s been doing less,” he adds in one scene about Carl’s now-fiancée.
Carl disagrees with Kyle’s sentiment, as he later tells his boss that he’s been “working [his] ass off, and it’s not good enough.”
“Carl, if you walk away from the company right now, the company won’t feel a f--king thing,” Kyle says.
Though it seems their friendship was at the point of no return in the summer, Kyle shared that he’s actually in a “good” place with Carl now.
“Carl and I have nothing but love and respect for one another, and everyone’s gonna see that,” he told Page Six on January 27 about what fans can expect to see from the pals on the “raw” seventh season.
Kyle noted that it can be “challenging” to work closely with loved ones, as evidenced on Season 6 when Kyle was planning his wedding to Loverboy’s creative director, Amanda Batula.
“I mean, obviously, it’s challenging working with your wife and your best friend, so it’s almost like I want to remind people that that in itself is not normal, and then you put it on TV and it’s another level of crazy,” Kyle added.
The Traitors cast member further showed that his friendship with his wedding officiant had recovered when he shared a post for Carl’s 38th birthday on January 27.
In the caption of the post, Kyle referred to Carl as “my brother from another mother, my best man, and my 6'5" handler.”
“We’ve come a long way — looking forward to keeping the wild ride going,” he concluded. “XOXO.”
The Summer House cast members may be in a better spot now, but you can find out what led to their past work and friendship issues when Season 7 debuts.
