Style Secrets from the 'Secrets and Wives' Stars
Find out what fills the boudoirs of these Long Island ladies' homes!
Wondering what it takes to look as chic as the ladies of Secrets and Wives? Well, wonder no more. The stars are taking you inside their closets to share all their style and fashion secrets. And, yes, they are namedropping everyone from YSL to Chanel to Birkin—oh my!
So get ready to take notes, so that just like the Secrets and Wives ladies you can turn your fashionista dial all the way up.
Two things every Long Island wife needs in her closet
A common theme in these Long Island ladies' closets were a couple of signature staples: YSL heels and Chanel bags being first and foremost. So much YSL! Even more Chanel! And who could blame them? With designers like that filling your shelves, everyday is like the Met gala.
It's all about the shoes
Sure handbags, clutches and sparkly cocktail dresses are nice, but no outfit is complete without some awesome kicks. And it's pretty clear that these Strong Island natives can't live without their shoes. "There's three important things: belts, bags and shoes," Andi notes.
When in doubt, accessorize
Take a look around, and placed throughout those closets there's enough bling to rock a million red carpets. Necklaces, watches, rings and earrings are among the baubles the Secrets and Wives ladies have accumulated to wear along with all their designer duds.
Have an obsession
Everyone has a signature piece and that's pretty clear from peeping these closets. Liza loves her white denim. Andi has halter tops aplenty. Amy has scents to last a lifetime. So it would seem if you find something you love, you should collect as much of it as you can!
Size matters
Owning lots of fabulous styles is one thing, but having no place to store them can be a bummer. And it's obvious that with some of the ladies having multiple closets (we're looking at you, Liza and Susan), they have ample space to not only peek at their attire, but also some of their more sentimental pieces—like the dress Liza wore to her daughter's bat mitzvah, the shirt Amy got engaged in, or the dress that Cori rocked at her 40th birthday bash. Actally Gail even calls her closet her "safe haven" (aka our dream come true).
