Stephanie Hollman Dreams About Tackling This Huge Social Issue: "I Want to Make a Difference"
The RHOD mom would love to use her social work background to effect major change.
While Stephanie Hollman's husband Travis Hollman goes back to school at Harvard Business School, The Real Housewives of Dallas mom is thinking about revisiting a chapter of her own life.
Speaking to Dallas Observer, the mom of two reflected on her past. As a quick background, Stephanie is an Oklahoma native who earned a degree in psychology at Oklahoma State. After school, she found employment as a social worker, first working at a school for children affected by poverty and then at a shelter for pregnant homeless women.
"I love when people write me about their problems,” she told the Observer. “I love that. I love feeling like I can help people.” And that compassionate nature may just be the impetus behind a future project.
"I don't know if I would want to work for another organization, but I'd love to start something of my own one day,” Stephanie said. “I think that would be amazing … I want to make a difference in things that impact me and, for me, it's children and bullying. Because I have two kids and I feel like I just want to do something powerful that will change their world, too.”
We have no doubt that Stephanie could pull that off. And as RHOD fans know, the Hollman family's passion for philanthropy runs deep: Travis' company, Hollman Inc., recently announced it will pay for employees, as well as their spouses and children, to attend North Lake College as part of the Hollman HELPs program.
