Stephanie Hollman Shares the Surprising Reason Why Husband Travis Hollman Is Attending Harvard
The Real Housewives of Dallas mom says their family has a special connection to the Ivy League school.
It's never too late to go back to college! The Real Housewives of Dallas' Stephanie Hollman recently shared some surprising news: her husband, Travis Hollman, is back in school — Harvard Business School, that is.
"It's gonna be such a game changer for the family," she explained of his three-year business program, which he began this past May, in the clip above. "It's so cool that he's almost 50 and getting educated."
Why Harvard, you may be wondering? It all comes down to family history. Travis's stepdad is related to Thomas Dudley, a governor who donated land to Harvard and helped establish the college's administration back in 1650. According to Harvard bylaws from the agreement, anyone in the Dudley family can attend the school. Unfortunately, Travis didn't know about this the first time he went to college, but it's better late than never, right?
Stephanie went on to explain more about his program on The Daily Dish podcast. Not only is he living it up on campus (which she could see from his Lyft records when he was out and about with his friends), he's setting a great example for their kids, too. "I think it's really cool for the kids to see that no matter how successful you are or how old you are, you can still work on yourself and get educated," she said. Best of luck for straight As, Travis!
Travis also recently announced an educational initiative for employees of his company. Hollman Inc. will pay for its employees and their families to attend North Lake College as part of the Hollman HELPs program. It sounds like education has definitely been on the Hollman family's minds lately!
