Vanderpump Rules Isn't Stassi Schroeder's First Reality Show
One of the #PumpRules pal's first TV shows was "the biggest mindf***" she's ever experienced.
The name "Stassi Schroeder" is of course synonymous with Vanderpump Rules these days. However, the show isn't the first time Stassi has wowed TV audiences.
Stassi got her first taste of reality TV in 2005, when her father signed her, her brother, and her stepmom up to appear on a special family edition of The Amazing Race. "I didn't have a chance to think about if it was something I wanted to do," Stassi said in a recent ET profile. "It was always just been something that I've done. And then I realized that I was kind of good at it."
Stassi was 17 at the time — and a brunette! Unfortunately, the family placed seventh out of 10 teams. "I remember why we lost — because my family didn't listen to me. Because I'm always right! If they just would've listened to me!" she exclaimed.
Lisa Vanderpump recently said on Watch What Happens Live that "Stassi still has some kind of Machiavellian power" over the Vanderpump Rules crew, so perhaps it's fitting that she would go on to join the cast of another reality competition called Queen Bees in 2008. The show followed Stassi and six other so-called mean girls as they lived under one roof together to see who could transform the most and become the nicest, which she called, "the biggest mindf*** that I've ever experienced. I had nightmares for — oh my god, so long after that show. That cameras were always filming me and making me be something I'm not," she told ET. "When you're filmed 24/7, it's scary. I couldn't do that again."
Now at the start of the fifth season of Vanderpump Rules, Stassi said that she's staying true to herself on the show. "I feel like they'd love to see me be mean all over again. And of course I can be a bitch when it calls for it, but so many people want to see me be mean for the sake of being mean," she shared. "And I'm not like that."
But could we see Stassi follow in Lisa's footsteps and become a Real Housewife in the future? "I'm, like, perpetually alone," she said with a laugh during her interview with ET. "Not that there's anything wrong with being a housewife. Honestly, no one's even proposed to me when they were, like, wasted, mid-sex, so I don't see myself getting married soon. No one's expressed interest!"
However, Stassi has already come up with a Real Housewives tagline, in case the time comes: "I tell it like it is. Probably because I'm drunk."
We'll see how that stacks up against Lisa's tagline in the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiering Tuesday, December 6 at 9/8c. Until then, indulge in the new season's supertease, below.
