Go Inside Taylor Ann Green and Craig Conover’s Intense Showdown
The two clashed over lingering issues from Taylor and Shep Rose's split.
The Southern Charm Season 9 premiere made it clear that Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green aren't the only ones still feeling the effects of their split. In fact, by the end of the episode, it was Craig Conover who was left reeling after a particularly intense conversation with Taylor.
The exchange occurred at Madison LeCroy's wedding celebration shortly after Taylor and Shep had a conversation of their own. Though they were mostly cordial, seeing her ex for the first time brought up old feelings for Taylor. As she told Austen Kroll, "His conversation is trying to make him feel better about himself ... I just don't want to play into it. [He] cheated on me tenfold."
Later, Taylor's frustrations carried over into her encounter with Craig.
Why was Taylor Ann Green upset with Craig Conover?
Taylor believed Craig was "sitting on [some] information" about Shep allegedly cheating on her when they were together. Craig, however, denied this, and even said he "stopped" one alleged act of infidelity from occurring.
Taylor had additional grievances with Craig, though. As she told him, "I will say, just from my perspective, the way that you approached our breakup was very sh-tty. When the breakup happened, when we separated ways, Madison — I'm not even best friends with Madison — and she texted me ... I used to be good friends with you and I haven't heard from you. I haven't talked to you. After the whole breakup, you didn't even talk to me."
Craig, for his part, pointed out that he was friends with Shep long before he ever met Taylor. That, and "I didn't cheat on you ... You're mad at [Shep], not me."
"Shep doesn't give a sh-t and it makes me hurt that you don't give a sh-t," Taylor told Craig. "I think the only person that actually gives a sh-t that it hurt me was Austen. Obviously, Olivia [Flowers] too, but the girls have had my back always. The only guy that's had my back is Austen."
Responded Craig, "Taylor, I'm sorry you're upset, but you don't know what I've said to Shep. You don't know how many times I've cut him off. You weren't there the night he did it."
The two got into a shouting match from there, and when it came time for the episode's conclusion, Craig stormed off out of frustration. To see how things shake out between him and Taylor, be sure to tune in to Southern Charm Season 9, Episode 2 next Thursday.
