One of Something About Her's First Employees Is a Familiar Face for Ariana and Katie
Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix's sandwich shop will be getting some "help" from an unexpected source.
Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix's sandwich shop, Something About Her, is continuing to come together, and the latest progress update came during the extended and uncensored version of Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Episode 10 (now streaming exclusively on Peacock).
More specifically, Ariana shared that she and Katie would soon be getting some help from a familiar face.
Who did Ariana Madix hire for her sandwich shop, Something About Her?
Ariana revealed on Vanderpump Rules' extended episode that Tom Sandoval's assistant, Ann Maddox, would be "help[ing] out with some sandwich shop stuff."
"Ann needs a job, and we need to hire someone," Katie added. "She's got to look out for herself. Tom Sandoval is not her main priority."

The development comes after Ariana interviewed Ann to become her assistant rather than Tom's, and while she didn't hire her at that point in time, Tom overheard the two talking and Ann was soon out of a job.
Tom later stated that he didn't fire Ann, but in a confessional interview of her own, Ann recalled the day everything went down in detail.
"In my panic and sweat, I knocked on Ariana’s door and I was like, ‘I think I’m getting fired,'" Ann said. "She was so nice. She took my shoulders and was like ‘You're gonna be okay,’ and I was like, ‘thank you!’ and then I went downstairs to the kitchen to sob."

Katie and Ariana didn't reveal what exactly Ann will be doing to help out with Something About Her, but it's safe to say that the two are working hard on getting the sandwich shop's doors open.
When will Something About Her open?
Katie told BravoTV.com at the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere party in January that she and Ariana are "just waiting on some physical copies of some permits."
"We're on other people's time at this point," Katie added. "It's really frustrating. Everyone wants to know. I want to know, too. It's just literally waiting on physical copies of permits so we can get our final permit that we need. It's a waiting game."
What will be on the Something About Her menu?
Something About Her will offer a variety of sandwiches — including a Greek salad sandwich, for example — as well as croissants, muffins, cookies, wine, beer, and tea. Why no coffee? As Katie explained in BravoTV.com's full tour of Something About Her, "There's already a wonderful coffee shop next door."
What will Something About Her look like?
Katie and Ariana's sandwich shop was designed by Jon Hutman, "who is Nancy Meyers' production designer. Huge flex," Katie shared during the Something About Her tour. "That was the whole inspiration of this sandwich shop in general. We wanted it to feel like main-character energy in a rom-com."
"We also wanted it to feel like us," Ariana added. "We wanted it to feel very California yet European."
More specifically, as Katie put it, "California country meets European cafe."
