Sarah Jessica Parker Is Headed for Divorce in Her New HBO Series
SJP returns to the small screen this fall.
Praise Manolo Blahnik because Sarah Jessica Parker is heading back to TV this fall. The Sex and the City alum returns to HBO for her new dramedy, Divorce, alongside Thomas Haden Church as a couple who couldn't be further away from the glitz and glam that was Carrie and Mr. Big. SJP plays Frances, who surprises her husband Robert (played by a moustachioed Thomas) by asking him for a, well, divorce. And, middle fingers aside, Frances has a rather optimistic view on the split.
"This could be the greatest thing that has happened to us. Now we can go back to just liking each other again," Frances tells her estranged hubby. The series also stars Saturday Night Live alum Molly Shannon and Mad Men actress Talia Balsam. You can check out the trailer below, and try not to get too antsy waiting for fall to arrive.
