Ryan Serhant Opens Up About How He Juggles His Career with His Family
The MDLNY agent shares how he balances it all while paying tribute to his wife, Emilia Bechrakis Serhant.
Ryan Serhant is a busy guy, and that fact is definitely not lost on him. Actually, the fact that he balances multiple work commitments as well as his life at home with wife Emilia Bechrakis Serhant and daughter Zena is something the Million Dollar Listing New York agent is more than aware of, as he recently noted on Instagram.
And for anyone wondering how he does it all, he shared that update alongside family photos on Instagram.
"I don’t get to see my girls a lot. In New York, I work 12 hour days every day other than Saturday. Two nights a week I see Z before she goes down, and then I go back to work. Date night once a week. It won’t be this way forever, but while we build the brokerage, the education platform, and the media company, on top of everything else, it’s important to give it our all. Otherwise what’s the point? So when I have this time with them, it’s so important to soak it up as much as possible. And when Z is older I want her to know it’s OK to work hard and dream big," he wrote.
Of course, Ryan does have an incredible life partner in Emilia. Just in time for her recent birthday, he shed more light on his warm and fuzzy feelings for her. "Happy birthday to my Greek Goddess, Zena’s Mom, and the bravest woman I know. If I could give you one gift this year, it would be to see yourself through my eyes so you could see just how beautiful, and how loved, you are. Love you," he shared.
It mirrors the heartfelt message he posted about Emilia for Mother's Day several weeks back: "My wife lights up our house and provides so much love to EVERYONE - she’s been many people’s momma long before Zena."
But, Ryan is making time, as he recently documented on a family trip to Emilia's home country of Greece. Emilia also shared some snaps from the trip, along with a simple and sweet birthday tribute to her hubby: "Had a kid with this guy. It’s his birthday today."
Around Father's Day, Emilia added about Ryan, "Watching you grow as a father has been one of the greatest joys of our [decade-long] relationship. Seeing how you are with Zena and knowing how you’ll be, makes me love you infinitely more every day."
