All the Details on Teresa Giudice’s Mid-Reunion Call to Gia

Find out the advice Andy Cohen gave Gia when she phoned in to the RHONJ Season 13 reunion.

Before Season 13 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey officially concluded, the family drama between Teresa Giudice, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, Joe Gorga, and Melissa Gorga came to a head on Part 3 of the reunion.

The RHONJ husbands joined the rest of the cast (and host Andy Cohen) on the reunion stage during Part 3, and it was the first time that Joe had reunited with his sister since the Season 13 finale party at Paul “Paulie” Connell’s house.

The siblings discussed the demise of their relationship, and Andy wondered if Joe regretted not attending Teresa’s wedding. Joe said he had no regrets, and Andy asked for some clarification regarding a comment that was made during the finale. Read on for details.

Why Teresa Giudice Called Gia at the RHONJ Reunion

On the Season 13 finale, in the days following Paulie’s party, Teresa, Melissa, and Joe separately reacted to what went down. And in one interview, Joe recounted a phone call that he allegedly had with his niece Gia Giudice, Teresa’s daughter.

“Gia calls me up, and she’s like, ‘You know, I heard what happened. We just think that you can do better,’” Joe claimed about the call.

At the reunion, Andy then asked Teresa about the phone call. She denied that Gia ever made such a comment and subsequently called her eldest daughter so she could share her side of the story — but before that, Gia discussed what she was doing.

“You should see the resort I’m at right now,” Gia said to her mom. “It’s beautiful.”

“She’s at Coachella,” Teresa explained to Andy and the rest of the RHONJ ’Wives and husbands. Andy then took the phone from the RHONJ OG to chat with the 22-year-old.

“I wish I was there, Gia. I wish I was at Coachella with you, Gia. It’s Andy Cohen,” the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host said. “Your mom just wanted to call you because the question is whether you told your uncle that he can do better than Melissa.”

Gia denied saying those words to her uncle, adding, “I called him regarding the wedding, saying that he should do the right thing, that Nonna and Nonno are looking down on them, and my mom wanted him to walk her down the aisle.”

“I never told him that he could do better than my aunt Melissa,” she continued. “And it’s sad, Zio Joe, that you’re trying to call me a liar.”

Joe didn’t verbally react to his niece’s comments, so Andy offered her some fatherly advice for her Coachella weekend.

“Gia, have a blast at Coachella,” Andy said. “Be careful…”

Teresa’s Phone Call with Gia Backstage

After Andy said goodbye to Gia, Teresa reflected on the “disgraceful” state of her relationship with Joe. The mom of four became emotional while reflecting on how the two used to be “best friends,” and she eventually walked off the reunion stage for a few moments to collect herself.

Once away from the group, Teresa continued talking to Gia on the phone as her daughter told her, “Don’t cry, you’re gonna make me cry. You’re doing so good, and [you’re] being so strong.”

“This is why I want them out of my life,” Teresa then said.
