Why Melissa Gorga Was “Shocked” by Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita’s Reunion
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member also shared her reaction to Jacqueline’s recent comments about her.
Melissa Gorga put her true thoughts about Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita’s recent reunion on display during the February 21 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
A WWHL viewer asked The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member for her reaction to their reunion and also mentioned Jacqueline’s recent comments about Melissa — specifically, that Jacqueline accused her of being “very good at manipulating people.”
Responding, Melissa brought up the RHONJ Season 3 reunion, which Jacqueline did not attend. “She literally didn’t show up to a reunion because she was saying Teresa was the most manipulating,” Melissa said. “She has really proven that she can’t stand Teresa in so many ways. She sends text messages all over the place. I’m in shock that she said that about me, because from day one, before I even filmed my first scene, she was the one calling my phone every day.”
Melissa clarified that the calls weren’t “negative,” but that Jacqueline did “definitely fill me in on things.”
“So the fact that she said I’m manipulating,” Melissa concluded, “is crazy.”
Jacqueline made the remarks in January and went on to reunite with Teresa on February 11. To mark the occasion, they both took to Instagram to share a photo they took as they caught up over a meal at Cipriani Las Vegas. “[Five] hour lunch! Lots to talk about. Lots of laughs too!” Teresa captioned her post. “Reunited and it feels so good!”
Teresa opened up about the hang-out even more during her February 14 appearance on WWHL, explaining that she had recently “been thinking” about Jacqueline “a lot.”
“She’s been on my mind a lot, and I was going to Vegas to see Bruno Mars, so I reached out to her,” Teresa added, making sure to note that any drama with Melissa “didn’t have to do with” their decision to see each other.
As for the past drama between Teresa and Jacqueline? “Time heals all wounds,” Teresa said. “It really does.”
Jacqueline, as RHONJ fans may recall, currently resides in Las Vegas with her husband, Chris Laurita. He and Teresa’s husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, actually joined the ladies during their meetup, and Louie later posted several photos with Chris, writing, “This weekend I got a chance to meet this amazing guy.”
