The #RHOC mom opens up about her new jewelry line.
Lydia McLaughlin didn't have to look far for inspiration for her recently-launched Lydia M Jewelry collection. In fact, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom looked no further than her hectic life as the jumping off point for the brand, which includes affordable, dainty, feminine pieces for the everyday woman.
The Daily Dish spoke to Lydia (via email) about the collection, which she recently launched at a party held at Lavender Salon in Newport Beach. Lydia says the pieces were "inspired by my daily life! This is jewelry I want to wear as a mom on the go, who is balancing carpool pickups with work meetings and red carpet events. I love all the pieces and wear them in my daily life."

What is your favorite piece and why?
Lydia McLaughlin: It really depends on my mood but lately I am loving our "Hot Line Lariat." I get so many compliments whenever I wear the piece. It is dainty yet has a lot of sparkle when it catches the light, so it is just breathtaking.
Which one do you find yourself wearing most?
I pretty much live in the Cross My Heart Choker. I will wear several prices together, but I find I never take this choker off.
Who would you say is the Lydia M Jewelry line customer?
The Lydia M customer is someone who loves fashion yet also loves to not be too fussy. Every piece is gold filled, not gold plated. It is handmade in Orange County. These are things that the Lydia M customer values and appreciates.
Which of the OC ladies would you love to see wearing it?
I love my OC Girls and would love anyone to wear my pieces. Hopefully you will see them all wearing them ... stay tuned.
How do you feel this kind is an extension of the Lydia McLaughlin brand?
I have a blog that is an extension of all things I am passionate about. I share everything from my hair tips to outfit details and favorite devotional books. Being on RHOC, people are invested in me and my family and the blog has been a great outlet for me to share with my fans. The jewelry is yet another outlet for me to be creative and share my passion for beauty and express myself in a fun way.
