Dorit Kemsley and Erika Jayne had some unfinished business to attend to on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 premiere on Oct. 25.
More specifically, Dorit confronted Erika for the comments she made about her and Paul "PK" Kemsley's marriage at BravoCon 2022. In case you need a refresher, Erika was asked during a special edition of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen which Bravoleb relationship she thought would be "headed to Splitsville" next, and she opted to name Dorit and PK.
Naturally, Dorit wasn't thrilled. Read on to hear her and Erika discuss the topic and see where they ended things.
How Dorit Kemsley Really Felt About Erika Jayne's BravoCon Comment About Her Marriage
Dorit chose to confront Erika at the retreat she organized to bring their friend group back together after all of the RHOBH Season 12 drama. As she put it, "It feels like there are certain things that have been difficult to move past. I feel very hurt by you, Erika ... What you said about PK and I was mean-spirited and deeply hurtful."
She also called out Erika for her delivery of the response: "You delivered that answer like someone who really wanted that attention."
Erika Jayne's Explanation for Calling Out Dorit Kemsley and PK's Marriage
First responding to what Dorit said about her delivery, Erika said, "Dorit, I'm a showman. I walked right down to the edge of that stage and I gave those people what they wanted."
Suffice to say, Dorit wasn't happy to hear that. As she put it in a confessional interview, "Standing up, going to the center stage, delivering the line, and then flipping her hair and coming back and feeling very good about herself — that's not a showman, that's a bitch."
Back in conversation with Erika, Dorit added, "I kind of thought that you were gonna lead with an apology, rather than defending it."
"It's not a defense, it's just an explanation of how it went down," Erika said. "It was a shady question; I gave a shady answer."
She also questioned whether Dorit's marriage is "strong."
"My marriage is very strong, [but] Erika, that doesn't matter," Dorit replied. "I went through a very challenging year. You're hurting, and so you lashed out. And you're mean-spirited."
Erika Jayne's Apology to Dorit Kemsley
Taking everything Dorit said into account, Erika ultimately apologized. "The last two years of my life have been very complicated, but we all hurt each other's feelings in this group," she began. "I was getting hit from all sides and I just needed a moment to catch my breath in this group. As your friend, I'd like to apologize if I was rough, if I was vicious."
"I've never felt so low; I've never felt so unheard. I love you all and I'm very sorry," Erika concluded.
