Marlo Hampton Shocks Andy Cohen with Who She Thinks Wrote That Rumor About Kandi Burruss
The RHOA cast member spilled all the Season 14 tea, while the WWHL host tried on those vibrating panties.
We love a mystery on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Season 14 has certainly given us a good one after someone anonymously shared a rumor about Kandi Burruss during a game at the birthday party for Kenya Moore’s daughter, Brooklyn, earlier this season.
The identity of who spilled that piping-hot tea, which Kandi has denied, has yet to be revealed. So when Andy Cohen had Marlo Hampton in the Bravo Clubhouse for the June 12 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, he took the opportunity to ask her who she thinks wrote the rumor. “Kenya. I think it was Kenya,” Marlo said without hesitation.
That answer surprised Andy. “Oh, you think Kenya did it?” he said in response. “That’s her friend.”
Interestingly enough, Kenya seemed to imply that Marlo was the one responsible for spreading the gossip when she appeared on WWHL in May. “We kind of got to it,” Kenya said of trying to figure out who wrote the rumor at the party. “It was someone that wrote with an orange marker, and there was only one person there that had an orange marker, I think.”
Andy then asked, “Does her name rhyme with Arlo?” presumably referring to Marlo. Kenya laughed and said, “Maybe.”
Marlo later denied writing the rumor about Kandi, tweeting during that episode of WWHL, “It wasn’t me,” along with the eyes emoji.
The subject came up on Marlo’s latest WWHL appearance on Sunday night, while playing a game that was actually inspired by Kandi after she gifted the Atlanta Housewives with vibrating panties for their trip to New York City this season. Andy donned a pair of vibrating undies on WWHL, and Marlo was given the honor of turning them on if she or her fellow guest, Joel Kim Booster, decided not to answer a question during a round of “Truth or Kink!”
“I have somehow been convinced to wear this pair of vibrating undies on television,” Andy said as the game got underway (clip above).
At the game’s conclusion, Andy said, “This is not how I saw this night going.”
Though Marlo definitely enjoyed the “Truth or Kink!” game with Andy, she wasn’t as big a fan of Kandi making the vibrating panties part of the RHOA crew’s trip to NYC. “I was annoyed just because there were other married men,” Marlo said of the festivities.
As for Andy, this was a WWHL moment he won’t soon forget. “This was WILD!!!!!” he later tweeted about the game, adding in another post, “[Kandi] - [you] did this!”
