Simon Guobadia Applauds Porsha Williams’ Latest Achievement
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum’s hubby could not have been more proud of her commitment to a very important cause.
Porsha Williams’ husband was by her side at a recent charity event for a cause that’s close to her heart. In a February 27 Instagram post, Simon Guobadia shared photos from the 2023 Pink Awards and applauded his wife’s involvement in the evening.
In his caption, Simon wrote, “In support of Breast Cancer Awareness, we attended the 2023 Pink Awards where [Porsha] was a featured presenter in support of her aunt [Elisabeth] Omilami who is a breast cancer survivor and recipient of the Samaritan award.”
He added, “Our prayers go out to these brave women.” The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum responded in the comments, giving some love with a red heart emoji.
According to its website, The Pink Awards “is an iconic event that brings breast cancer awareness and black excellence to the center stage. During this event, premiere influencers, celebrities, and wellness advocates come together to celebrate life, strength, and survival.”
The evening’s awards program acknowledges individuals who have “exemplified visionary ideals, excelled in entrepreneurial endeavors, made a difference in society, and changed the trajectory of their respective fields.” Porsha’s talented aunt was a perfect candidate for the Samaritan award.
Elisabeth is an actress and playwright, and she’s the CEO of Hosea Helps. According to its Instagram page, the organization “helps provide free services for families and individuals needing assistance.”
In her own feed, Elisabeth shared a photo from the evening and penned a heartfelt caption. “[Last night’s] ceremony touched hearts, encouraged breast cancer survivors, and lifted spirits,” she wrote. And Elisabeth, Porsha, and Simon certainly brought some high vibes to the event.
The partygoers were dressed to the nines. While Simon wore a royal blue suit over a crisp black button-down, Porsha opted for an Alexander McQueen blazer dress and giant bejeweled earrings. In her Instagram feed, the Atlanta mom captured her whole striking ensemble — and gave a shoutout to the Go Naked hairpiece she was wearing.
Meanwhile, Elisabeth hit the event in a bright pink dress decked with jeweled embroidery. She looked radiant as she prepared to accept her award. Photos from the evening captured Simon, Porsha, and Elisabeth posing on the pink carpet. Another snap provided a peek at Porsha addressing the crowd, looking genuinely thrilled to honor her aunt.
