Drew Sidora Breaks Down "All of [the] Messiness” Surrounding the Baby Blessing Situation
The RHOA newcomer says she canceled an important family event due to allegations surrounding the Prophet and LaToya Ali. Now, she's explaining the situation in the After Show.
Drew Sidora and LaToya Ali have had a difficult time warming up to one another this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and the events of the April 11 episode did not make it any easier. During an event Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams held to uplift Black-owned businesses, Drew had some tension with LaToya over the reason she had canceled her daughter Aniya’s baby blessing. In the above RHOA After Show clip, available exclusively to Bravo Insiders, Drew sheds some new light on the situation.
During the episode, Drew explained that her family had planned for Prophet Lott to perform the baby blessing. Ultimately, Drew decided it would not “be appropriate” to follow through with the plans after learning of an alleged relationship between Prophet Lott and LaToya.
“[Prophet Lott] was actually doing my baby’s blessing, and he had to pull out because of the drama circulating with his family and all that you got going on over there,” Drew said to LaToya during the event, adding that she had to cancel the blessing as a result.
LaToya brushed off Drew’s comments, replying with, “Get out of here, girl.” And in interviews during the episode, Cynthia and Kandi Burruss questioned why Drew opted to cancel the baby blessing instead of finding someone to take Prophet Lott’s place.
“It was very real because it affected my family,” Drew said of the situation during the After Show. “All of this messiness took place to the point where I had to cancel my baby blessing.”
