Ralph Pittman Explains Why He Attended Aaron Ross’ Birthday Party Without Drew Sidora
Ralph attended Sanya Richards-Ross’ husband’s birthday party without his then-wife on the RHOA Season 15 premiere.
As you might recall, Sanya Richards-Ross and Drew Sidora haven’t always been BFFs, but when it came time for Sanya to throw her husband, Aaron Ross, a glamorous, over-the-top 40th birthday bash, she made sure to invite all of her fellow The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members, and members of their extended inner circle, to the Harlem Nights–themed party as seen on the Season 15 premiere, which aired on May 7.
Why Drew Sidora Missed Aaron Ross’ Birthday Party
And yes, that also meant she sent an invitation to Drew despite their drama back in Season 14. “I actually sent the invite, and Ralph was actually the one who RSVP’d,” she told Shereé Whitfield and friend Courtney Rhodes earlier in Episode 1 of RHOA Season 15.
With everyone securing an invite to the glitzy party, Sanya may have been curious about what Drew and Ralph were going to wear to the can’t-miss event. However, when the night of the event arrived, Drew didn’t show up to the party. Ralph came solo, decked out in a tux with a white jacket.
“Where’s your wife?” Kenya Moore asked Ralph, before he explained, “She’s not feeling well. And we got a family emergency. She’s got a family crisis going on.”
When Kandi Burruss later asked about Drew’s absence, Ralph reiterated that she was dealing with a “family crisis.”
In an interview, Kenya shared her take on that reason: “Ralph is saying there was a crisis in the family. He forgot he was married to the crisis. Like, you’ve got to be there, Ralph. That’s part of your family too.”
Why Did Ralph Attend Aaron’s Party Without Drew?
In his own confessional, Ralph explained why he wanted to attend the party without Drew: “She has a lot going on with family. Her father’s sick, so she’s dealing with a lot. I need to make sure I show love and support to my boy, though. It’s his 40th.”

As Season 15 progresses (new episodes air Sundays at 8/7c), viewers will get an inside look at the struggles Drew and Ralph were facing during the season. As seen in the Season 15 trailer, Drew is asked about their eventual plans to divorce by a producer in an emotional confessional: “Are you ready to talk about Ralph?” a producer asks, to which Drew says, “Yeah.”
The two married in 2014, and today they are parents to son Machai and daughter Aniya. Drew is also the mother of an 11-year-old son, Josiah, from a previous relationship. They confirmed their plans to divorce in March 2023.
