Get Your First Look at Renee Zellweger in New Bridget Jones Movie
We wonder if the #LadiesofLondon crew will make any cameos?
One of our favorite (fictional) ladies of London is back. On Friday (October 2), the first image of Renee Zellweger from the upcoming third film in the Bridget Jones franchise, Bridget Jones's Baby, was officially released. The photo shows the once-bumbling Brit smiling from behind her tablet — but what's she smirking about? Could it be because Patrick Dempsey has joined fellow hottie Colin Firth in the film? (We know it's probably not about Daniel Cleaver, because Hugh Grant has officially bowed out of the project.) Has Bridget been fully embraced by London's high society? Is she currently rolling with the Ladies of London crew? A girl can dream.
Bridget Jones's Baby is slated for release in September 2016 and is a follow-up to 2004's Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason and, of course, the beloved 2001 flick Bridget Jones's Diary. (You know, the same movie where Colin's Mark Darcy tells her, "I like you, very much. Just as you are." Swoon!) The movie finds a 40something Bridget pregnant, while the identity of the baby's father is unknown. Cue all the Bridget Jones antics your heart could ever ask for.
In the meantime, check out a preview for next week's Ladies of London airing Monday, October 5 at 10/9c.
