Erika Girardi Just Dropped a Major Bombshell About Her Past
"A girl has her secrets," the Real Housewives pop star teased.
It's almost hard to tell where Erika Girardi ends and Erika Jayne begins, but for the "How Many F---s?" singer, there was actually a time when she thought about abandoning her pop star persona for good. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pal dropped that bombshell on Instagram, where she shared, "Before I was cast on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I had secretly quit Erika Jayne altogether." It's a revelation that has us all going, "What??!!" But, clearly, as she put it, "A girl has her secrets..."
Back in 2017, in an interview with Nightline, Erika revealed why she gave birth to her feisty, sexy alter ego. "I had everything that you want. Every material object. Everything. But inside my core I still wasn't satisfied," she shared.
She continued, "I felt like I was just not being myself. I felt like I was hiding. I was hiding from me. I was hiding from sparkle and magic and fun and fearlessness and music and dance and creative magic ... I just knew I had feelings. I knew I had thoughts. I knew I had things I wanted to say. Listen, I'm rebellious. Okay? I always have been. And Erika Jayne is a little bit of a rebel too."
Erika definitely has some more tea to spill about her life when she releases her memoir, Pretty Mess, later this month. “Without Erika Jayne, Erika Girardi would just be another rich bitch with a plane,” she shared, via a press release, last summer, “I hope my intimate story can inspire readers to become their own strong, confident and vibrant pretty messes.”
