Real Housewives of NYC Want You to be Hotter, Healthier
The 'Wives share secrets to a fitter life.
Time to get moving and shaking! The Real Housewives of New York City's Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin, LuAnn de Lesseps, Cindy Barshop, and Alex McCord all turned up for NBCUniversal's Healthy Step-a-Thon (part of our Healthy Week) in Times Square this week to encourage people to adapt a healthier lifestyle.
"I learned some really staggering numbers," Kelly tells E!Online. "One in five children [is] obese, and 33 percent of adults are obese."
Getting in shape is easier said than done – they get it – so the 'Wives are offering up simple ways everyone can squeeze some exercise into their day. "Multitask when you are doing something that you don't want to do," suggests Cindy. "I am on the treadmill, and I'm doing a business phone call." Anything else, C? "Stay out of the sun, and drink extra water. Things like that. It's just so basic. Also... I'm tan but I always get spray tans."
Even though Jill admitted she wouldn't be walking home from the event, she did advise that "when you can walk verses drive, you always should."
Then again, if you find yourself at a loss for motivation, Kelly drops a reality check: "It's definitely bikini time, so it's not just about being fit, it's about looking hot!"
