Nina Garcia Returns to Project Runway as Filming on New Season Begins
Season 17 of Project Runway is welcoming back a familiar face.
Nina Garcia is back to werk. The editor-in-chief of ELLE recently shared on social media that she is back on set filming Season 17 of Project Runway.
Nina, who has been a judge on Project Runway since the fashion competition premiered on Bravo in 2004, will return to the series for its upcoming new season, which is set to premiere on Bravo in 2019. She shared a couple of Boomerangs on Instagram of herself looking so stylish and excited to be back filming Project Runway. We're so looking forward to seeing her back in her judge's chair, too.
The sartorial expert also shared on Instagram that she "can’t wait for you to meet the new awesome team" in the new season of Project Runway. It was announced earlier this month that Karlie Kloss would be the new host of Project Runway, along with new mentor Christian Siriano. Nina will also be joined by new judges fashion designer Brandon Maxwell and journalist/former Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Elaine Welteroth.
“These are the perfect faces for the new Project Runway as we recalibrate for a new generation of fashion enthusiasts,” said Shari Levine, Executive Vice President, Current Production, Bravo, in a statement when the series' new host, mentor, and judges were announced. “They are entrepreneurs and trailblazers with tremendous reach inside and outside the fashion industry, and give Bravo and our producing partners, Magical Elves and Lantern Entertainment, the right fuel to reenergize the franchise.”
