Porsha Williams: I Will Always Support Phaedra
The 'RHOA' star says being there for her friend throughout her divorce was an easy choice.
Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks are proving to be the real-life girlfriends' guide to divorce. Since Phaedra was there for Porsha after her less-than-amicable split from Kordell Stewart, Porsha has been making sure to return the favor now that Phaedra and husband Apollo Nida are calling it quits.
"Honestly, being there for Phaedra was easy," Porsha tells Us Weekly. "She was there for me when I went through my divorce, just the phone call away at any point and time. That was our relationship at the time."
And now Phaedra wants her lawyer/mortician friend to feel just as supported as she goes through her rough patch. "I wanted to make sure that she felt I was just a phone call away, whatever that was—whether we just get on the phone and have a conversation, not even talking about what she was going through," Porsha explains. "We never really went through all the details—her, Kandi, her husband, none of that! It was just being there for her and just being supportive with whatever she was doing."
But the Dish Nation host is also quick to throw shade at some of the other RHOA ladies whom she feels aren't treating Phaedra with the respect and support she deserves. "You had Cynthia coming from the left with these accusations, and Kenya, and everybody just ganging up on her in their own little way trying to rip her name to shreds," Porsha stated about what went down this season. "[Phaedra is] consistent with who she was and who she is—which is a great mother, a great wife, and she loves her family. Love will conquer all at the end of the day. She didn’t even have to clap back—all she needed to do was concentrate on herself."
All these issues (and so much more!) will be addressed during the upcoming Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, the first part of which will air this Sunday.
