According to NBC News, Taylor was in her apartment when she was shot and killed by Louisville police on March 13. An investigation is currently underway by federal and local law enforcement officials. The EMT would have turned 27 last Friday.

Porsha addressed the crowd at the event in a video posted to Instagram Stories.

"They don't want to stop us, they actually want to silence us. So I decided you know what? I'm gonna go out here and be amongst the people because at the end of the day, it ain't about me. This is about the future for our children. This is about the future for my daughter that I just had. This is about a better life for everyone," she said. "And, yes, all lives matter — but Black people right now are under full blown attack."
