Porsha and Kordell Stewart Respond to Gay Rumors

Since Kordell Stewart dropped his bombshell divorce on Porsha in March, rumors have swirled that their marriage failed because he was hiding a secret: he's gay. Now, eight months after they've separated, both are opening up about the rumors.

On last night's Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked the Real Housewives of Atlanta to clear things up.

"First things first, whether he was gay or down-low, that has nothing to do with why we broke up," she says. "The reason we broke up was all about the treatment." On last season of the show, the couple struggled over her desire for independence (she wanted to pursue her career) and wanting to have a baby. Ultimately, Porsha says, "We just grew apart."

For his part, Kordell flat-out denied he was gay during an interview on the Ryan Cameron Morning Show last week. "No! I promise you on my life and everything that I'm a part of including my son, and on my father who's no longer here, that that has never happened, nor will anything ever come up, ever, come up with no dude. About me and nothing...People can say what they want to say."

Since their split, Porsha has done her best to move on—but she's not ready to start dating just yet. "I am working hard, so I am not paying attention to men in that way," she says, referring to her new line of Naked hair extensions. "I work all the time and I am paying attention to myself. People around me know I'm not quite ready to date yet."
