Phaedra Parks Says Cynthia Bailey Is Acting Like a "Mean Girl"
She also teases what we can expect from the #RHOA ladies' upcoming Miami trip.
Phaedra Parks was at home taking care of her sick sons when the explosive confrontation between Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams broke out during the so-called "Boat Ride from Hell" on last week's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Even though Phaedra had to watch the whole thing play out on her TV at home, she was still shocked to see what transpired between her castmates. “I was freaked out,” Phaedra said during an interview with ETonline. “It went from bad to worse, very quickly, on this, er, wonderful boat. Well, canoe.”
Phaedra was particularly taken aback by Cynthia's behavior on the boat. “I mean, the past few years, we've seen a different side of Cynthia, much more mean, um, mean. Mean, nasty girl side," she said. "So I guess this is who she's become. She said she was finding herself, so I guess she found the mean girl and, it's taken, you know, first position.”
On the flip side, the RHOA renaissance woman also defended Porsha's behavior in the argument. "Porsha is as sweet as a lamb," Phaedra told ETonline. "I mean, she's very innocent when it comes to not starting trouble — she doesn't, you know, but if you come for her, she's gonna handle you.”
Though we've seen Phaedra's marital problems with Apollo Nida play out on RHOA, she's not interested in lending any support to Cynthia, who is dealing with her own issues with her husband Peter Thomas this season. "No, I didn't really care. They have always delved into my business, but I stay out of people's marriages," Phaedra said. "If she wants to sleep with old Peter, have at it. I don't, and so I don't comment on people's love lives and lack thereof."
The teaser for Sunday night's episode of RHOA shows the ladies' trip to Miami will get pretty heated. Phaedra also revealed that the vacation was just as turbulent to experience as it looks. "Miami is definitely a wild time. I would have never thought in my wildest dreams it would have turned out like it did," she explained. "Miami became scary at one point, it got so out of control. It was very heartwrenching."
