You'll Never Believe How Matt Damon Learned He Likes Rough Sex
The actor said filming sex scenes with Julianne Moore for Suburbicon "was not dull at all."
Matt Damon didn't escape the filming of Suburbicon without sustaining a few unsavory wounds. The Oscar winner recently gave some behind-the-scenes scoop to Entertainment Tonight, and revealed that a sex scene he shot with costar Julianne Moore resulted in a "discolored" cheek." And nope — he wasn't talking about the cheek on his face.
On shooting the frisky scene, Damon told ET, "That was not dull at all. I actually bruised myself. Like, we realized the way the shot was, it looked like I was hitting her if I hit myself. And so I really let myself have it. I was spanking myself."
All that spanking took its toll on the native Bostonian, who got a glimpse of his bruised booty when he got home after work that evening. "When [my wife] saw my butt, my cheek, she was alarmed. And then I obviously looked and I'm like, 'Oh, God. Oh, God. Oh, that's from — that was just from work, honey.'" Just another day at the office!
The moral of this story? "I like it rough," the actor quipped. "I didn't realize how rough I like it." And, now we know!
But, not every scene turned out to be so painful. Moore and Damon had an easy working relationship, and the actress told The Daily Telegraph, "[Matt] is not only the nicest guy in the world, but one of our best actors." The film hits theaters on Friday.
