Newlyweds Season 2 Couple Erik and Nadine Courtney’s Baby Aurelia Is Already a World Traveler

Season 2 of Newlyweds: The First Year was full of pregnancy stories, including that of Erik Courtney and Nadine Jolie Courtney, who welcomed their daughter Aurelia into the world during the season finale. Though having a baby is always a life-changing experience, Erik and Nadine continue to live their life similar to how they did before Aurelia was a part of their family. "Before we had Aurelia, we promised ourselves that we would continue to travel, since we both feel it's so important to a happy life," the couple recently told The Daily Dish. "Everybody told us it would be difficult, but Aurelia's a wonderful traveler and has already been on 12 flights to three countries! This year, we traced Erik's roots in Sweden, met Mickey Mouse in Orlando, got our honky-tonk on in Nashville, and went palace hopping in Copenhagen, among other trips."

However, life hasn't been all fun and games for Erik and Nadine since their time on Newlyweds. Nadine is still hard at work on her third book, a YA novel set at a boarding school that features two sisters who find themselves in a love triangle with the future King of England, slated to be released in Summer 2017. Erik has been keeping busy with his tech company, but he's also penning his first book as well.

Aurelia visited her grandpa for Christmas.

Just because they're not on Newlyweds anymore doesn't mean Erik and Nadine have kept their distance from the show. The couple met Season 1 bride Tina Sugandh and current Newlyweds couple Brandon Liberati and Craig Ramsay during their Season 3 premiere party in Las Vegas this year. "They're all so awesome and sweet in person," the couple said. "It was definitely a fun little Newlyweds reunion!"

Now that Erik and Nadine aren't really newlyweds anymore, what wisdom do they have to impart on the current batch of cast members in their first year of marriage? "Our advice to the new Newlyweds is to continue to film your special moments, even though you're no longer doing it for the show," they said. "It's amazing to look back and watch all those precious memories in private."  

They also said that it's important to try and ignore any hate that might come their way while the show is on the air. "While it's impossible to ignore all the criticism you'll likely experience by putting your lives out there on TV, try to let it pass you by. After all, the only opinions that really matter are those of you and your family," Erik and Nadine explained. "Everybody's a critic!"

Still, any negativity that Erik and Nadine may have gotten during their time on the show hasn't seemed to bring them down. "We're so grateful to have a happy and healthy family and appreciate the Bravo family for being so supportive this past year," the couple told The Daily Dish.

Nadine, Aurelia, and Erik are one big happy family.
