There Will Be "New Faces" Coming to The Real Housewives of Orange County Next Season, Says This Bravo Executive
"We always want to keep the shows fresh," she explains, when discussing what's ahead for Season 13.
Fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County have already heard the news that Meghan King Edmonds, Peggy Sulahian, and Lydia McLaughlin will not be joining the other 'Wives for another season. It leaves one to wonder what other surprises are in store for the remaining women in Orange County. Kathleen French, Senior Vice President for Current Production at Bravo, stopped by The Daily Dish podcast's "News and Booze" episode and told hosts Megan Segura and Rachael Roberts what the latest is for the O.C. ladies for Season 13.
"There will be new faces on Orange County and I'm going to leave it at that," French revealed.
"We always want to keep the shows fresh and we always want to introduce new friends," French added. However, if you're looking to become a Housewife, you may be out of luck if you're not already besties with any of the current ladies. French explained they find their new 'Wives by checking out the returning Housewives' already-established circle of friends: "[We] always look for people who are organic to the group."
She elaborated, "So the question when starting the next season is, 'What are you doing now?' 'Who are you hanging with?' 'Anyone new in your life?' ... And that's really where we'll always look first."
What's the most important quality French and her team look for when talking to possible new 'Wives? "You have to be ready, willing, and able to live your life in front of the camera."
