OG Real Housewives Cast Members React to Nene Leakes' RHOA Departure
RHOBH original cast member Kyle Richards shared a touching message for her friend.
Nene Leakes has announced that she will not return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta in a September 17 YouTube video in which she explained, “It wasn’t an easy decision for me. It was hard.” A few of Nene’s fellow OG Housewives have since reacted to the news, thanking her for some iconic memories.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills original cast member Kyle Richards shared a touching tribute to Nene, posting a collection of photos of them together throughout the years.
“It was love at first sight with @neneleakes and me. The tallest and the smallest of the OGs…we laugh until we cry…You are a pioneer in the Housewives world,” Kyle wrote. “I love you and wish you the best in your next endeavors…which I know will be many. Cheers my friend.”
The Real Housewives of New York City original cast member Jill Zarin also weighed in, writing, “Always,” with a crown emoji.
The ‘Wives also commented on Nene’s post announcing her departure.
“Remember when @vickigunvalson and I came to you in Atlanta to film Rachael Ray? When we didn’t know anything? Life was more simple? Social media hadn’t taken hold of the world? I’m glad we became friends and wish you good luck in all your future endeavors,” wrote Jill. “The best is yet to come. Come visit us in Miami!”
Nene seems to remember the memory fondly, responding, “Yes I remember! Still have the pictures! Love you Jill.”
Kyle also wrote, “I love you Nene,” to which Nene replied, “I love you Kyle.”
Gizelle Bryant, who has been a cast member since the first season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, commented, “Sad to hear but there is no doubt your future is extremely bright,” to which Nene replied, “Thank you G.”
