If there was ever time we needed a hero, it would be now. Dr. Max Goodwin is exactly the kind of guy you're going to want to root for when New Amsterdam premieres on Tuesday, September 25 at 10/9c on NBC.
In the new drama, Dr. Goodwin is the new medical director of New Amsterdam Medical Center, who sets out to combat bureaucracy in an effort to provide the best care possible, even if the hospital is understaffed, underfunded, and underappreciated. As much as New Amsterdam is sure to fill you up with hope and love, with a healthcare battle of Dr. Goodwin's own to fight, you're definitely going to want to have some tissues handy as well.
Dr. Goodwin will be played by Ryan Eggold, a TV favorite fans will most recently recognize from The Blacklist and The Blacklist: Redemption.
