Movies Without Pity Awards Takes Aim at Hollywood's Best (and Worst)
The only awards with room for both 127 Hours and Burlesque.
Awards season is officially here -- the glitz, the glamour, and the seemingly unending ego-stroking. And then, there's the Movies Without Pity Awards.
Our friends at Television Without Pity have just launched their first-ever Movies Without Pity Awards. In keeping with the TWoP spirit, the spin-off of site's TV-centric Tubey Awards gives users the chance to vote for not only the best of film, but also the worst Hollywood had to offer last year.
A new set of categories -- from Best Drama to Movie You're Most Ashamed You Paid to See -- will be unveiled each week from now through February 13. Right now, you can get a jump on voting for Best Drama, Worst Drama, Most Overrated Movie, Most Underrated Movie, Movie With the Most Ridiculous Premise, Best Supporting Actress, Worst Supporting Actress, Best Cameo, Best Special Effects, Best Ensemble Cast, and Movie You're Most Ashamed You Paid to See (Burlesque? Sex and the City 2? Eat Pray Love? Plenty of strong contenders there). In the end, 55 categories will be up for grabs when the winners are unveiled on February 23. The Movie Without Pity Awards Facebook app also give you the chance to gab about your picks, and debate Blake Lively's acting chops with your friends.
So vote early and often, and check out the winners on February 23.
