Watch out Hollywood, here comes Miss Lawrence! The Fashion Queens hair guru appeared on the drama-filled season premiere of Empire on Wednesday (September 23) during which he showed off one of his other talents: his ability to belt it out.
And, boy, did he impress his Bravo pals, who headed to Twitter to share their joy over his acting debut. Fashion Queens pal, Bevy Smith, and Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kenya Moore very publicly showered Miss Lawrence with love.
Cynthia Bailey also tuned into the highly-anticipated premiere, watching alongside one of its stars, Jussie Smollett. Their hangout sesh took place at an official #EmpireWednesdays Showing Party at Sports One in Charlotte.
And for those wondering how Miss Lawrence landed the coveted gig, he broke it down on Facebook: You see it was Bevy who connected him with creator Lee Daniels (who has previously shared that the series was partly inspired by the Real Housewives franchise). The rest is history.
