Mike Shouhed Says He Has Started to "Get Serious" About His "Spiritual Journey"
The Shahs of Sunset cast member is getting in touch with his faith like never before.
Mike Shouhed just shared a major life update.
The Shahs of Sunset cast member revealed in a post on Instagram on August 24 that he has been getting more in touch with his spiritual side lately. Mike, who practices Judaism, shared a photo of his tefillin, which are traditionally worn by Jewish men during weekday morning prayers. "Prayers go up-blessings come down. Started to get serious about my spiritual journey [and] wear my tefillin daily!" Mike wrote in the caption to the Instagram post. "It's time to give back to the man who has given me so much."
Mike revealed in the comments to the post that he found inspiration from his girlfriend, Paulina Ben-Cohen, who is also Jewish. "I wanted to be the best role model and partner to [Paulina] and the fam," he said. "She inspires me daily."
In fact, Paulina praised Mike for going on this new spiritual journey. "So proud of you," she wrote in the comments to his post on Instagram.
Mike has often opened up about his Persian heritage and Jewish faith on Shahs of Sunset and has shared his traditions with viewers over the years, from Passover seders to Shabbat dinners.
