Mike Shouhed Explains How Reza Helped Him Make His Bachelor Pad "One of a Kind"
The #Shahs shoes designer opens up about his swanky Hollywood pad.
When Mike Shouhed needed some assistance in decorating his Hollywood Hills home, he called upon his longtime pal, Reza Farahan. Reza used his eye for decorating and love for '70s home decor to make the bachelor pad, which Mike moved into following his split from Jessica Parido, feel like home. And while the finished product isn't in the style that Mike would have chosen for himself, he still loves what his pal did with the place, which he shares with his two dogs.
"Reza definitely did help me in decorating my house. It has a little bit of a gay vibe to it, a lot of colors," the Shahs of Sunset pal said. "With me it'd be like bed, TV, I'm set. Bachelor pad. [But with Reza] we're accesorizing. I have all these different colors, lots of pop.'"
Reza curated the home to make it feel lived in. "Dude I have so many dope pieces in my house... I have a watermelon rug, huge watermelon rug. I have this tangerine couch. I have all these pieces from the '70s, like mid-century pieces, artwork, and mirrors and very dope vibe where it doesn't look like I just went to Restoration Hardware and just said, 'I'll take this this and this' and had it shipped to my house," he explained. "Each piece was individually picked out from auction houses, one-of-a-kind pieces that you really can't find."
